Description
Hopsie is a 3D printed rabbit with long ears: 5 to 6 cm, with segments that move independently, finished by hand.
Why do rabbits have long ears?
To hear well, and probably also to lose heat. The ears make up a fair part of the body surface and are thought to help rabbits cool down at temperatures above 30 degrees. That is why rabbits in warm regions often have longer ears.
Rabbit or hare?
Rabbits and hares are related: both belong to the lagomorphs, so they are not rodents.
