Bram the Brown Bear

Bram is our flexible little bear: a 5 to 6 cm brown bear, finished by hand and built from segments that move along smoothly.

What does a brown bear eat?

More plants than you might think: around 90 percent of its diet comes from plants. It also hunts all sorts of animals, from insects and rodents to large hoofed animals, and on the coast of Alaska it feeds mainly on salmon. Brown bears live in Europe, Asia and North America, mostly in forests. Their fur ranges from cream to reddish brown and dark brown.

Does a brown bear hibernate?

Not fully. In winter it retreats to a sheltered den and becomes sluggish, but it is not a true hibernator and wakes up easily. Its closest relative is the polar bear, like Nanuq the Polar Bear.
