Description
Tiko is our flexible little bird: a parrot of 5 to 6 cm, with segments that move independently, finished by hand.
How do you recognise a parrot?
By its strong, curved beak, its upright stance and its feet with two toes forward and two back. Many parrots are brightly coloured. They mainly eat seeds, nuts and fruit. Most live in the tropics, but ring-necked parakeets, which are parrots too, now live in the wild in large cities in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Can parrots talk?
They can imitate human words. That is one of the reasons people so often buy them as pets.
